Sea & Ice & Mountains Adventures (SIM) is a young and dynamic family business based in Puerto Williams, the capital of the Chilean Cape Horn Region. We are the first Chilean company that offers ship support services in Tierra del Fuego and Antarctica (since 1990).

Wolf Kloss, one of the pioneers of the commercial Cape Horn and Antarctica charter industry, is the founder and organizer. He remains the restless and driving power of SIM and all its projects and has more than 20 years experience. With the SANTA MARIA, and 250,000 nautical miles as a Skipper, Wolf has made seven Atlantic crossings, thirteen Antarctic voyages and has sailed more than 75 times around Cape Horn.

Next to his sailing skills, Wolf is driven by his passion for alpine challenges, enthusiasm for nature’s forces and unique landscapes and for adventure.

With the company SIM, he has been able to transfer a way of life into a practical business philosophy. Individuals traveling in small groups, integration of each participant into the routine on board, personal challenges of nature, and deliberately simple travel is the daily creed of SIM.

Both yachts, SANTA MARIA and SANTA MARIA AUSTRALIS were designed specially for high latitude sailing with small crews in remote regions. Both meet high international standards of safety. Our masters and crew are well trained and highly skilled thus offering secure setting for our fellow passengers.

Our work is acknowledged on the world stage. Sea & Ice & Mountains Adventures is a member of: AUSTRO CHILE (the tourist chamber of the Chilean XII region), AICH (the Chilean section of the legendary captains of Cape Horn), and IAATO (the International Association of Antarctic Tour Operators).
